Competitions are a great way to enhance your coding skills and proficiency. They offer a hands-on learning experience. Coding competitions are designed to inspire, motivate and engage students to learn to code. Here is an opportunity to improve your coding skills and compete with the best coders out there!


We are thrilled to announce the launch of the online global coding competition - “Code-A-Thon” exclusively for Codingal students.


So don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to test your coding skills, enhance your coding knowledge, and compete with the best coders across the globe

Themes & Projects

Build your amazing projects on the theme:
 

  • Grade 1-4:
    Theme - Jungle book

    Create an animated project depicting the life of any of your favorite animals/birds. Make your project interesting by adding sounds, images, etc.
    Platform used: Code.org/Scratch
     
  • Grade 5-8:
    Theme - Vacation guide
    Create an animated project or an app sharing your knowledge about the last city/country you visited in 2022. The project should be a kind of guide that tells about the major attractions of that place, how to get around, the best time to visit, local delicacies to try, etc. Use your imagination to make the project exciting and unique.

  • Grade 9-12:
    Theme - Sports World cup

    Assume you are conducting a Sports world cup event for Codingal. Create a website that can take student's registration, showcase different sports that the students can participate in, give a brief description about each sport, what grade students can participate in that, and all other important information. Make your website stand out by being innovative.
    Platform used: repl.it

 

Prizes

Winners will be awarded amazing prizes:
 

  • The top 3 winners from each grade group will get:

1. Lesson credits 

    Winner - 4 lesson credits

    1st runner up - 2 lesson credits
    2nd runner up - 1 lesson credit 


(Lesson credits can be used for studying new courses in the future. For ex. you can study new modules related to coding or new topics. Lesson credits can also be used when upgrading to the next level of course.)
 
2. 1:1 session with the founders of Codingal

3. Dashboard points 

    Winner = 2000 points

    1st runner up 1500 points 

    2nd runner up 1000 points

 

  • Every student who participates in the competition will get 100 dashboard points. 

  • Every student who participates in the competition will get a recognition certificate.

Guidelines

How to register for the competition?

 

  1. Click on the "Register & Start" button.

  2. Input your mobile number.

  3. Enter the information in the registration form.

  4. Verify your mobile number through the OTP received on SMS.

  5. Click on the "Submit" button. You are registered for the competition.

 

How to Submit your Project?

 

  1. Once you have registered and finished your project, open the mail that you have received for this competition to register. Click on the link given.  

  2. Click "Register & Start" and input your mobile number & OTP number received on SMS

  3. Click on "Submit Project" and fill in the below information:

  • Select your Group* (Junior/Middle/Senior)

  • Project Name*  (Any name of your choice for your project)

  • Development Platform* (Eg- Scratch, Thunkable, Repl, etc.)

  • Project Link (Share the Link of your project)

  • Project Description* (Tell us something about your project)

       4. Click "Submit" & you are done.

FAQs

  1. Why do I need to register using a mobile number?
    You are required to register via a mobile number as it is the primary source of identification for registration and project submission.

  2. Is this competition online?
    Yes, this competition is 100% online. The contestant can work on their project at any place and time as long as they have access to a computer/laptop and an internet connection.

  3. How much does it cost to enter into this competition?
    There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.

  4. Can I submit projects late?
    Unfortunately, we do not accept any late projects. All projects must be submitted by the project submission deadline.

  5. What if I forget my registered mobile number while submitting the project?
    In case, you forget your registered mobile number, you will have to re-register for the competition before submitting the project

  6. I have entered the wrong information in one of the form fields while submitting my project.
    If you have entered the wrong information in one of the form fields, refresh the page before clicking on the "Submit Project" button at the bottom of the form

  7. Will the old project consider for evaluation?
    No, any old or previous project will not be considered for evaluation.

  8. Can I submit more than one project?
    No. You can submit only one project per competition.
